Mel B says a Spice Girls tour is ‘100 per cent’ happening…but there’s some bad news

It’s not what we want, what we really, really want.

Ever since the rumours began earlier this year, we have been keeping our fingers crossed for a Spice Girls reunion.

The popstars got back together again in February for a brunch, teasing that there was an exciting opportunity coming up. And fans’ hopes were high that they would soon be belting out Stop! once again in stadiums.

The rumours of a tour have been running rampant ever since, with the on-again-off-again speculation swirling for months.

Only for Victoria Beckham to seemingly definitively deny that there was any tour happening, telling Vogue: “I’m not going on tour, the girls aren’t going on tour.”

Mel B has now said that while the tour is “100 per cent” happening, there may be one member missing.

James Corden asked her on the Late Late Show if Posh Spice/Victoria Beckham would be going with them on tour, and Mel said:

“Well, we’ll see about that one.

“Us four are definitely going to be going on tour. She may join us for a few.”

But in an idea that’s probably going to divide Spice Girls fans, Mel also shared her idea about getting celebrity replacements to fill in for Posh on different dates.

And while Olivia Munn, who was on the couch with her, joked that James should be the one to kickstart the idea, Mel’s already got someone in mind.

She added:

“I’ve suggested that. [My number one pick] apart from Olivia, that would be Katy Perry.”
