Sport can be cruel sometimes, and arguably, there's no crueler sport than athletics. It's a solo sport mostly, and if things don't go well, it's all on you.
We feel for this poor fella competing in an 800 metre sprint to raise money for his local GAA club down at the Club Limerick Race Day.
He gave it everything he had but... OK, we'll let you watch it for yourself.

The commentary of the whole race is what makes the video really, the commentator is just so sure he has the race in the bag, but the runner didn't pace himself correctly.
Anyone who's raced before will know that feeling when you push yourself to the limit, until the point where your body just can't respond to stimulus anymore. It just gives up on you.
