Brian Dowling has penned a moving tribute to his sister Aoife following his daughter's Christening.
Baby Blake's Christening took place over the weekend at The K Club.
Her special day was held on December 10th, which is also the day of Brian's late mum's birthday.
Brian and his husband Arthur Gourounlian were joined by their loved ones, including his sister Aoife.
His sister Aoife was their surrogate.
Following the Christening, Brian posted an emotional tribute to his sister.
He praised Aoife for making his and Arthur's dream come true.
"Aoife, none of this would have been possible without you.
"Yesterday was as much your day of celebrating as it was for us. There’s not a day that goes by that @gourounlian & I aren’t grateful for everything you have done."
He praised his sister for all the sacrifices she made for both him and Arthur.
"All the sacrifices you made to ensure we stood the best chance at becoming parents.
"Your relationship with Blake is so unique. Nothing has phased you from the time you got pregnant till September 1st when Blake arrived."
The presenter also noted how strong Aoife has been when dealing with trolls. The family has been hit with waves of backlash since Brian and Arthur announced they were expecting a child together, but Aoife has been resilient through it all.
"You have shown such courage, especially on days when we would all receive vile messages. Sadly they are many of them. You are one strong fabulous lady. Simply thank you from the bottom of our hearts."
