OMG.

Yes, you read that right, a Spice Girl is set to be on this week’s episode of the Late Late Show.

Mel C is set to appear on Friday night’s episode and will be chatting all things Spice Girls after a nearly 30 year career in one of the most successful girl groups.

A spokesperson for The Late Late Show said: “Melanie C to spice up Friday night as she is set to join host Ryan Tubridy live in studio on this week’s Late Late Show.”

Mel has recently spoken about an alleged assault she experienced before the band was set to play their first ever gig, detailing the situation in an interview on Elizabeth Day’s How to Fail podcast.

She claimed that she had been assaulted by a massage therapist at a spa in a hotel in Istanbul in 1997.

The 48 year old said that she had been staying in the hotel the night before the concert when the alleged incident took place and opens up about it more in her new memoir, Who I AM: My Story By Melanie Chisholm.

Likely to speak about it on the show, Mel C also recently teased a Spice Girls reunion tour next year.

Speaking to OK! magazine about the possibility of another reunion in the near future, Sporty Spice said: “I tell you something, there will be if I’ve got anything to do with it.

“We’re constantly talking about it. The girls have had meetings and it’s something we all passionately want to do.

“We’re working through the ins and outs of Covid to try to make it happen.”

She went on to add that 2023 was the aim and that this time, Victoria, who didn’t take part in 2019, might even join them.

“We’re in the best place ever. We have more respect for each other than ever before, we’re all mums and we all know each other so well.

“Even though Victoria wasn’t with us on stage for the last tour, she was completely with us in spirit and 100% there behind the scenes.

“We wanted her to be happy with everything, so she was involved with all the creative aspects of the show.”
