Luckily, she only sustained cuts and bruises.

Mary Bedford, who appeared on last year’s season of Love Island, has shared that she has been involved in a car crash, but luckily escaped with cuts and bruises.

The influencer shared a photo of her damaged car on Instagram, and told her followers that she is “shaken up”.

“Someone must of (sic) been looking down on me today,” she wrote. “Very shaken up, cut and bruised but so grateful to be back home tonight.”

Mary joined the reality dating competition during Casa Amor week in Love Island 2021. There, she got to know Toby Aromolaran, and he eventually brought her back to the main villa, even though he had been coupled up with Abigail Rawlings. However, on his return, he rekindled things with Chloe Burrows, and dumped Mary as a result.

During the rest of her time on the show, Mary got closer to Aaron Simpson, and the pair left together after being dumped on Day 52. They subsequently announced that they had ended things shortly after leaving the villa.

She explained that following the death of her grandmother, she wanted to give herself proper headspace.

In a post on Instagram, she wrote: “Coming out of the villa and finding out the news about my grandma completely threw me. I’ve never lost anyone close to me so it has been really hard to be honest.

“A result of this is my head is all over the place, and all I knew is I wanted to be back home surrounded by my loved ones.”

She continued: “Aaron is an amazing person who has been supportive about everything since we left the show but right now there’s no pressure on us, I will always be so grateful we met as he’s a massive part of my love island journey, but I’m focusing on getting my head back in the right headspace which is why I haven’t been crazy since coming out, but who knows about the future.”
